October: Waikato News from Lyn

Sally facilitated the Hamilton September meeting and really enjoyed meeting some of our Waikato members. Raewyn Wallace spoke about the benefits or massage and gave a demonstration—this was very much enjoyed by everyone.

The Thames meeting did not go ahead as the few members in that area were unable to attend.

Matamata was a most enjoyable meeting with three members enjoying each other s company over a cup of coffee

The Waikato Cancer Society have very kindly offered the use of the ‘Lion’s Cancer Lodge’ on the corner of Tainui St and Lake Road for our regular monthly Hamilton Member Meetings. This is great news as it has a bigger space with easier parking for us all.

The Cancer Society will commence their six week exercise courses for people with cancer on October 22nd. There is the FunFit course and the Inner Roads to Wellness course. If you have not enrolled, do keep an eye out for these programmes for next year.

On a personal note, I have returned from five wonderful weeks holiday in the UK and Europe, one of the things on my ‘bucket list’ that I can now tick off. Although I had a great time, there is no place as beautiful or friendly as New Zealand, I think we are very lucky to live in Paradise!
