November: Wellington News from Elva

The sun was shining and the tuis were in full song in the Hobson House garden, a fantastic day for our October meeting. We had a large turnout of Members again, it was great to see you all. Thanks for making it such a fabulous afternoon. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to talk to all of you individually.
We enjoyed another fabulous lunch of lemon muffins, quiche Lorraine, fresh garden salad, fresh summer fruits, finished off with a delicious nut and chocolate slice.
Our guest speakers were Velda Walters, Inpatient Social Worker at Mary Potter Wellington and Viviana Foon, Counsellor at Mary Potter Porirua. Many of the Members didn’t know about all the different services that Mary Potter provides or how to get referred into their services so it was a very informative session.
Kirkaldie and Stains are having a Sweet Louise Party, it’s pencilled in for the afternoon of either Saturday 15th or Sunday 16th November –everyone will be sent an invitation once the date is confirmed.
