Volunteering for Sweet Louise
We would love you to join our dedicated team of volunteers who assist us with special projects and events or become involved with ongoing activities.
As a volunteer you can help provide crucial support through a variety of tasks including:
- helping at our Members’ Meetings
- driving Members to meetings
- helping to stuff envelopes and send monthly Member newsletters
- assisting with IT and administration, social media, HR support
- providing support at fundraising events, such as movie nights or live auctions
Who Can Volunteer
Our volunteers range from teenagers (working at home under supervision) to people in their 70s, and come from a wide range of backgrounds. Some are retired, some are students, and all in their own way contribute to the successful running of Sweet Louise.
We ensure that our volunteers are matched with positions / tasks that they will enjoy and have the necessary skills to complete. This, together with their enthusiasm, reliability and commitment helps us create a warm, welcoming environment at Sweet Louise.
Drivers – in Wellington, Kapiti Coast, and South Auckland.
Requirements for these positions include a safe, reliable vehicle, and a current valid drivers licence.
If there are not suitable volunteer roles in your area, please telephone 0800 112277 to find out how you may be able to help.
Our Volunteers bring the priceless gift of service and enthusiasm which makes such a difference for Sweet Louise Members and staff.

Meet One of Our Volunteers
“I like the values of Sweet Louise. It’s all about the Members, giving them the support they need. And as a volunteer, giving is amazing. It’s easy to do and easy to share.”
Robyn Warin is one of Sweet Louise’s amazing volunteers. She does all sorts of things; supporting the NZ Textiles Fishing Competition which raises funds for Sweet Louise, to preparing morning tea for the Whangarei Members’ Meetings.
A special thank you to Robyn and all our volunteers.
