In collaboration with the fine folk from Orakei Bay Village, Sweet Louise, New Zealand’s only charity solely supporting Kiwis living with incurable breast cancer, is excited to present 3rd time Byron Bay Bluesfest Act – The California Honeydrops on Saturday April 13th 2019.

Led by dynamic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Lech Wierzynski, and drawing on diverse musical influences from Bay Area R&B, funk, Southern soul, Delta blues, and New Orleans second-line, the Honeydrops bring vibrant energy and infectious dance-party vibes to their shows. Whether in high-profile performances or in more intimate venues where the band itself can leave the stage and get down on the dance floor, the California Honeydrops’ shared vision and purpose remain: to make the audience dance and sing.

Take the train to Orakei Station (there are only limited carparking spaces available) and head next door to the Kings Plant Barn carpark at Orakei Bay Village to enjoy an outdoor afternoon of New Orleans/Blues and Soul infused music and singing!

Gates will open at 4pm with the California Honeydrops taking the stage at 4.45pm.

You are welcome to pack a picnic (food and non-alcoholic drinks only please). This is an alcohol free event but please visit one of the great eateries on site before and after to enhance your concert experience. Feel free to bring a deck chair although we don’t think you will be sitting still for long!

Tickets are strictly limited, and the first 50 tickets receive an early bird discount of 10% so get in quick!

All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Kiwis living with incurable breast cancer.
