Creative juices were flowing at the July Auckland meeting where colours and patterns were carefully matched to make beautiful patchwork cards. Steph Hansen brilliantly co ordinated us all with everyone going home with very professional looking cards and the makings of a bookmark. In August thanks to the generosity of four Wellington Service Providers, 12 members had first hand experience of Reflexology. This modality is believed to have its roots in the ancient civilizations: Egypt, China, Africa and the native Indian tribes of America. It involves the application of pressure by the practitioner’s hands, thumbs, and fingers to reflex points in the client’s hands, feet, or ears. We met at Birdwood’s Café in Havelock North with all their beautiful African arts and crafts for a delicious morning tea in the beautiful conservatory overlooking the gardens complete with huge sculptures.
