August: Mid Central News from Geraldine

Rae Brown of the Cooperage Café joined us for a morning of great fun. Rae very generously made a huge batch of delicious chocolate cupcakes and was armed with an amazing array of nozzles, cutters and design tools to transform the butter icing into great creations. Mastering the bag full of icing to squirt on the cupcakes was no mean feat and a few of us were a bit wobbly to begin with. After a quick demonstration, Rae set us to work—we shared lots of laughter and hilarity at some of our techniques! There were many designs; from soccer balls, teddy bears, ballet shoes, a turtle, beautiful flowers to a wine bottle (to be given to a friend doing ‘Dry July’). It seems that the range of decorations you can create is only limited by your imagination and we all left with some beautiful delicious little cakes. Thank you again to Rae for providing all her wonderful supplies.
