SANYO DIGITAL CAMERATarsha Dean from The Flower Shed came along to the Whangarei Members meeting and shared her love and enthusiasm for flowers with us. A lot of fun was had creating beautiful table displays which were amazing and very individual. Thank you to Tarsha for her time, flowers and expertise, The Cancer Society for hosting us and our lovely volunteer Robyn for raiding her garden for foliage and making us morning tea.

Something that can be hard going after having had breast surgery is finding the right bras and prosthesis to make you feel comfortable and confident. It was great to have Denise Tinney, Breast Care Consultant based at the Breast Care Products shop in Epsom come to our Auckland meeting and show us her wares. Denise showed a range of products from bras for those who have lymphedema to a special prosthesis you can wear when swimming. Denise also talked about the Government subsidy offered towards getting a prosthesis and how staff at Breast Care Products are able to find out at any time how much subsidy you have left and when your next subsidy is due.

All useful stuff and not only that, all of the products can be bought with Sweet Louise vouchers with a marked decrease in cost for Sweet Louise Members. Breast Care Products can be phoned during office hours on 0800 264 822.
