Support Coordinator Auckland: Central, East and South – 20 hours per week

Sweet Louise, offering support for incurable breast cancer

Sadly our wonderful Support Coordinator Nicky is leaving Auckland. Her husband has a new job in Wellington, so we are looking for someone to fill rather big shoes!

Sweet Louise is the only charity in New Zealand solely dedicated to supporting those with incurable breast cancer. This devastating diagnosis affects hundreds of people every year and we work all over New Zealand to provide help and information.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Role provides support and information to women and men living with incurable breast cancer
  • Build solid relationships with health care professionals, support organisations and service providers

Skills and Experience

  • Self-motivated and have the ability to manage own workload and to prioritise tasks.
  • Experience and knowledge of breast cancer, treatments, side effects and impacts on families.
  • A nursing or allied health background with palliative care/oncology experience.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with Members, their families and supporters of Sweet Louise.
  • Ability to work with a team which includes paid staff and volunteers, and Sweet Louise Service Providers.
  • Desire to support the philosophies and aims of Sweet Louise

Based from our Auckland office, this role is 20 hours per week. Full driver’s license and access to own transport is essential. The successful applicant must reside in New Zealand and have Permanent Residency.
