Breast Cancer Support Northland has an Annual Retreat for Northland women in October. There are still a few places left!! If you would like a relaxing weekend at Mangawhai being pampered, please message them on Facebook for an application.

Auckland:

Music therapy – at dove hospice, Glendowie, Auckland

This opportunity to connect with others around music and relaxation to engage in reminiscence and life reflection through music.  Sessions will be led by Music Therapist, Maria Monet-Facoory. Suitable for patients, and carers. Commencing 2nd September at 2pm-3:30pm. Phone 09 5754555

Mens Group

30th September 6pm at dove house 207a Riddell Road, Glendowie.This session will be lead by Tim Hurley and Graham Southwell and will focus on “Advanced Care Planning” There will be time for questions and discussion. This would be of particular interest for any man (carer, relative or patient). A light meal will be provided at 6pm RSVP by 28th September to the Reception staff at dove house on 575 4555

Cancer Focus Talk

“How to manage cancer related anxiety and sleep problems” by Dr Patrick McCarthy. Dr McCarthy is a GP and medical hypnotherapist who teaches relaxation and is the author of  Relax (in the Sweet Louise Library.)
