Wellington:

The Wellington Lymphoedema Support group

Meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month 7-9pm at St John’s Anglican Church Hall, 18 Bassett Rd, Johnsonville. On Tuesday 18th August, Associate Professor Patries Herst from the University of Otago, Wellington has been invited  to speak to the group. Her talk will focus on the lymphatic system. Patries is a cellular biologist who has a great ability to explain complex anatomy and cell biology in a way which is easy to understand. Drop In Cancer Society Rooms Wellington
Happens every Tuesday. The session begins with gentle yoga from 11.30-12. From 12-1 we have an interactive talk and discussion around managing cancer, treatment and the aftermath with topics such as relaxation skills, communication, tips and tools, fatigue, resilience and sleep problems. ALL welcome- just turn up

Mindful Relaxation 

Margaret Stewart House, Hospital Rd, Newtown, happens every Thursday 4.30- 5.30pm run by the Cancer Society. This informal group meets to practice skills to help relaxation and stress management. ALL welcome- just turn up.
