Sweet Louise relies on everyday heroes across New Zealand to bring practical and emotional support to people with incurable breast cancer. We don’t receive any government funding, so it’s people like you who make all this possible.

There are so many ways to fundraise – the most important thing is to make sure you have fun doing it. Pick your fundraising idea and get in touch with us at [email protected] or call on 0800 793 385 and we’ll email you a fundraising pack full of ideas, advice and online materials. Plus, our dedicated fundraising team will be in touch to support your fundraising effort and help make it a success.

Whatever way you decide to fundraise, you will make a huge difference to the lives of people in your community who are negotiating life with incurable breast cancer, helping them live as well as possible, for as long as possible. Thank you so much for your support.

Fundraising ideas

There are so many ways to fundraise – the most important thing is to make sure you have fun doing it. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Challenge yourself

Ever thought about running a 5km, 10km, half or full marathon? Biking across New Zealand? Trekking a Great Walk or the Te Araroa trail? The options in our beautiful backyard are endless! Why not fundraise for Sweet Louise while you’re working hard and make it even more worthwhile. We’ll support you as much as we can and you’ll be doing something amazing. Just pick your challenge and set up your online fundraising page.

You could also register for one of NZ’s great fun run/walking/marathon challenge events and fundraise for Sweet Louise at the same time!

• Round the Bays, Auckland March 5
• Hawkes Bay Marathon, 20 May
• WUU2K Wellington Ultra Urban Marathon, 15 July
• Auckland Marathon, 29 October
• WAI running festival, Wellington, December

Plus, raise over $200 and you'll receive a Sweet Louise cap and t-shirt so you can take part in style!

Celebration Fundraising

Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, birthday or anniversary – dedicate your celebration to support Sweet Louise. Simply set up a Givealittle online fundraising page and ask for donations instead of gifts to raise money for our vital work supporting women with incurable cancer.

Start your fundraising online

An online fundraising page through Givealittle is really simple and easy to set up. You can personalise your page by adding a photo, your fundraising target and your personal story to tell everyone why you are raising funds for Sweet Louise. Inspire donors by talking about what Sweet Louise does. You can find help with facts and key messages here.

To get started, follow the link below. All you'll just need to do is add your personal details, the name of your challenge, your fundraising target and a photo and you'll be up and running!

You've raised money...now what?

If you raised money online, there's no need to do anything more. Your supporters will all have received their receipt. We will just be in touch to say a huge thank you!

If you raised money offline and need to send it to Sweet Louise, you can transfer the funds into our bank account: 12-3198-0032019-00. Please use your name as the reference and email us at [email protected] so we can send you your tax receipt.

Host a tea party for Sweet October

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and 13 October is Metastatic Breast Cancer Day – a day to raise awareness of incurable, metastatic cancer.

This October, host a tea party for Sweet October and raise funds to provide vital care and support for New Zealanders with advanced, incurable breast cancer.

You could host a fancy high tea, a fun morning tea or even a Mad Hatter’s tea party. The most important thing is to have fun and know you're helping raise funds and raise awareness of advanced breast cancer in New Zealand.
